On Sunday, September 13th, 2020, the lost badge was returned to the Niagara Regional Police Service. The Niagara Regional Police would like to thank the community for their assistance.

Human Remains Located in the City of St. Catharines

On Friday, September 11th, 2020, at approximately 12:40pm, 1 District (St. Catharines ) Uniform Officers, attended the Burgoyne Woods Park, in the City of St. Catharines, regarding possible human remains.

A member of the public contacted the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) when they located the remains, on a hike.

Investigation revealed that the remains were in fact human.

The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives out of 1 district...

NRPS Badge Lost in St. Catharines

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are investigating a report of a lost NRPS Badge.

On Thursday, September 10th, 2020, a detective with the Niagara Regional Police Service, attended the Walmart, located at 525 Welland Avenue, in the City of St. Catharines. 

At approximately 2:30pm, the officer dropped his wallet containing his police badge, in the parking lot at that location. The wallet was returned; however, the badge is still missing.

NRPS Investigate Threats in Grimsby

On September 10th, 2020, at approximately 3:00pm, 8 District (Grimsby) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) were called to a residence on John Street in Grimsby, for a report of a domestic disturbance and threats complaint. 

Initial investigation revealed that a 36 year old man had just left from the residence with his 5 year old son.  Detectives investigating the initial incident formed grounds for the arrest of the man in relation to uttering threats towards...

Detectives Looking to Identify Suspects in relation to the St. Catharines Cathedral Incident

On Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, 1 District (St. Catharines) Uniform Officers attended the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Alexandria, located at 67 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines, in relation to a break and enter.

Investigation revealed that at approximately 4:30am, two unknown males had broken into the Cathedral and stole the tabernacle from the main alter.

On Wednesday, September 9th, 2020, the tabernacle was recovered in the area of 12 Mile Creek, in the City of St. Catharines.
